A General Description of Stress Tests
There are different procedures that fall under the general term of Stress Test. Stress tests show how well your heart handles exercise (stress) and indicate whether or not your heart gets enough blood flow and oxygen when it's working its hardest. Stress Tests are used to diagnose heart disease, to determine the possible cause(s) of one's shortness of breath, chest pain and/or lightheadedness, and to determine a safe level of exercise.
